This is the homepage of the Boltun Project, an ICALL system for Russian currently under development at Indiana University.

The goals of this project are along the following lines:

• Create a web environment which can be used to develop ICALL systems for Russian classes at IU and, eventually, beyond IU.
• Develop back-end technology for ICALL systems, especially for systems encountering relatively morphologically-rich languages.
• Contribute to resource development for the Russian language for natural language processing (NLP) applications, with a particular interest in resources appropriate for analyzing learner language.
